Frequently Asked Questions at Courtside

We are located in all 50 states! Wherever you might be, we can have an in person teacher in that location.

We serve age 5-11, or Kindergarten - Fifth Grade. We require that students are 5 years old by September 1st.

Courtside Homeschool Academy is not a legal school of record. We function as a private educational service, providing certified teachers, curriculum support, and recordkeeping to help families remain compliant with their state’s homeschool requirements.

It is the responsibility of each family to:

• Maintain their own legal homeschool status under state law.

• File all required documents with their state or local education authority (such as a Notice of Intent, if applicable).

• Notify Courtside of any residency changes that could affect compliance.

While Courtside provides academic summaries, standardized assessments, and diplomas, these documents are provided as part of our private educational services and do not replace your legal obligation to register as a homeschool with your state of residence if required.

If you are unsure about the homeschool laws in your legal state of residence, we maintain a general overview of requirements by state. This document is available upon request. Courtside does not provide legal advice.

If you have to move, you have options. You can keep the same teacher and switch over to virtual learning or we can find another in-person teacher in your new city

From the initial inquiry to your child’s first day, this process should take around 30 days.
